Bishop Rey's Flight Home

October 3, 2009

Due to the severe effect of Typhoon Ondoy in many IRM churches, and in order to better manage the relief efforts of IRM, Bishop Rey will be going home from Singapore three weeks earlier than planned. Please pray for a safe trip home and for wisdom in distributing resources.

We praise God for the assistance we’ve received from other Christian churches (both IRM and non-IRM) from here and abroad. Please also continue to pray for IRM members, workers and churches who were affected by Typhoon Ondoy.

Typhoon Ondoy and Pepeng

October 2, 2009

Please pray for all the IRM churches and members who have been severely affected by Typhoon Ondoy (international name: Ketsana). The following is a partial list of affected churches:

IRM Marikina – now being used as an evacuation center for both members and non-members

IRM Ampid

IRM Cainta

IRM Binangonan

IRM Malanday

UPDATE: Rev. Florendo Santos, the District Administrator of IRM NCR District 1, has informed us that IRM Bagong Silang (in Quezon City) was the most affected IRM church, with Rev. Nathanael Tongco and his family being forced to stay at the roof of the church during the height of the flood.

Bishop Reynaldo and Ptra. Lualhati Domingo are currently in Singapore, but 6-feet high flood water entered their house in Cainta, Rizal. We would like to take this opportunity to thank the pastors and members who went to their house to help in the clean-up process and to bring food, water and clothes.

Please also pray for the coming Typhoon Pepeng (international name: Parma), which is now classified as a super-typhoon.

For those who want to help in the relief operations, please send an email to bishopreydomingo@yahoo.com. Please note however that internet connection is rather inconsistent in Cainta at the moment.

Here are some pictures of Bishop Rey’s house in Cainta during and after the flood.
